The Sound of the Water

The sound of the water...I don't think there is anything more beautiful.   Nothing more peaceful, inviting or intriging.  Even as a little girl my favorite place to be was sitting on the grassy bank of a babbling brook.  I could sit there for hours mesmerized by the sound, the movement, the way the water jumps over the rocks and lands then rushing off to find it's way down stream.

I have always been drawn to the water, as many of you probably have also.  I love to hear waterfalls and the ocean waves crashing in, but also gently lapping onto the shore.  I love the sound of rain on tin roof or the way heavy rain sounds as it crashes to the ground.  I even love the way it sounds as cars rush past my house after a good rain.

I have had many dreams about water as well.  Dreams of the ocean, lakes and rivers.  At times I saw water rising up in a house.  In one of my dreams I saw a horse coming down a river and gently put my head into it's mouth.  I could feel it's big teeth scraping my forehead!  I am interested in dreams and have found out that water in dreams usually refers to our emotional state.

Water is very important to us.  According to usgs.gov our bodies are 60% water.  The brain is 73% and our heart is 83%.  We can survive for around two month without food as long as we have water.  Without water, we would most likely die within three days.  (Heathline.com)

One day it hit me...I know why I, and so many others, are drawn to water.  The Bible says in Ezekiel 43:2  And, behold, the glory of God of Israel came from the way of the east:  and His voice was like a noise of many waters:  and the earth shined with His glory.   Then in Jeremiah 10:13a says, When He uttereth His voice, there is a multitude of water in the heavens,

We are all drawn to the water because one of the sounds of God's voice  is the sound of water.  God's voice can be like the gentle lapping of the water on the lake's edge when we need a sweet hug or as the sound of a raging waterfall when He has something very urgent to say.  When I had this epephany, I loved the water even more!!  I absolutley am so grateful that God gives ways of helping us to get to know Him through His creation.  He sure loves us!

I hope that this have been an enouragement to you!

Much love,

Cherie
